A.J. Mathieu
I lead The Malphurs Group/Healthy Churches Global, a ministry dedicated to guiding churches to make disciples and grow leaders worldwide. As president, I oversee the organization’s growth and daily operations while actively engaging in ministry. I travel one week per month to work directly with church leadership teams, training pastors in both small and large group settings to help churches thrive in evangelism and discipleship.
I travel one week per month to churches worldwide, working directly with pastors and leadership teams. In the last few years, I've visited Central & South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. My focus is on helping churches grow stronger in evangelism and discipleship through strategic planning, leadership training, and coaching. Whether in urban centers or remote areas, I equip churches with biblical, practical tools to reach their communities with the Gospel and develop more and better leaders in the church to do the work of the ministry.
As a global missions worker, I rely on financial support to sustain my ministry work. Donations cover my salary, travel expenses, and resources needed to equip churches worldwide. While churches in North America pay consulting fees for our work, a portion of those fees helps fund our global missions efforts. Churches outside of North America contribute what they can to offset costs, but in many cases, this is a minimal amount. Consistent contributions from donors sustain the work, allow for future trip planning, and ensure the greatest stewardship of resources.
As a service-based organization, 93% of our expenses go directly toward developing resources for churches and delivering training worldwide. The remaining 7% covers essential administrative costs such as office supplies, advertising, insurance, banking, and professional fees. Your support directly strengthens churches and advances the Gospel globally.

God has used my ministry to help churches around the world grow stronger in evangelism and discipleship. Through strategic planning, leadership training, and coaching, pastors and church leaders have gained clarity, confidence, and practical tools to reach their communities with the Gospel.
In many places, I’ve seen struggling churches experience revitalization as leaders are equipped to make disciples and develop future leaders. From small rural congregations to large urban churches, the impact is evident in transformed lives, renewed vision, and churches becoming more effective in fulfilling the Great Commission.

I came to faith at an early age but received limited discipleship during my school years. As a young adult, I finally began to grasp what Christ had done for me, and that realization changed everything. Over the past 30 years, I have been blessed to be part of churches that take discipleship and leadership development seriously. Their intentional investment in me helped me discover how God made me and where I fit in His Kingdom as a worker.
In 2014, I had the opportunity to intersect with the late Dr. Aubrey Malphurs and realized that the work of The Malphurs Group was exactly what God had been preparing me for. When I took my first overseas mission trip, it confirmed my desire to go anywhere I was needed to help churches thrive. Since then, I have dedicated my life to equipping church leaders around the world, ensuring they have the tools to make disciples and develop leaders for the work of ministry.
Your interest in my ministry is encouraging. I trust God to connect me with those who truly want to see this work progress and the Gospel of Christ reach the ends of the earth.
